Effortless Frames to Elevate Your Art

Some paintings, like the ones in my latest collection, look best float mounted (laying on top of a mat) because the design hugs the edge of the paintings. I wanted these bold, abstract flowers to take up space! To accommodate these kinds of pieces, or a deckle edge, for example, you can ask the framer to float the painting, OR you can sandwich the painting between glass/acrylic for an easy, effortless and affordable, finished look. Here are some of my favorite frame sources for floating artwork:

Wexel Art. Clearly, ahem, an industry fave, try Wexel for gold accent hardware, colorful edges and more.

Tart by Taylor. You can find plenty of whimsical, scallop-edged dupes on amazon, but if you’re a color lover (or a tortoise-shell lover), the best ones are from Tart, including this very on trend butter yellow.

Hudson & Vine. A good source for Tizo and Prisma frames with subtle color accents.

Amazon. I like these chunky, crisp acrylic frames from Amazon (the art is yours truly, available in the shop).

Jacob Isaacs. You can find these on amazon and at Home Goods. I’ve had people ask me to buy just the frame (not the artwork inside) at shows and while that’s…upsetting, it is a very good frame.
